How to Setup and Use the Google Authenticator MFA Option

Introduction: 

This article is intended to provide guidance to our customers on how to set a new MFA method with Google Authenticator.  
Important Notes: 
  1. We currently support all Authenticator apps should they adhere to Authenticator Industry Standards 
  2. We have added a new method of MFA for customers that bypasses traditional email and text methods which sometimes fail to send the authentication codes.  If you submit a support ticket for failing to receive an email or text with the authenticator code, and we can see that both have been sent and delivered successfully, we will recommend that you setup the authenticator method instead. 

Steps: 

  1. Navigate to “Profile Settings” 
  2. Select “Add Authenticator App” 
  3. Open up google authenticator (our preferred and supported authentication option) 
  4. Scan the QR Code, or enter it manually in your google authenticator
  5. Type the authenticator code from google authenticator into the code field, it will automatically validate the code.
